В плане пополнения Русской Википедии очень рекомендовал бы желающим перевести на русский заметку про операции военных и разведывательных ведомств США по астротурфингу -- формирования общественного мнения путем размещения многочисленных заказных публикаций, оформленных как совершенно независимые мнения частных лиц.
Применяется для вытеснения мнения реальных людей на веб-форумах, для организации поддельных кампаний в Интернете, которые создают впечатление, что большое количество людей требуют чего-то конкретного, либо выступают против чего-либо.
Например, для продвижения товаров или идей и организации споров с теми, кто выступает против, для имитации общественной поддержки.

И важно не переводить фокус на постоянный крик о том, что во всем виноват фашингтон. нами еще и местный обком активно рулит, судя по массовой реакции ботов, как только кто-то начинает критиковать "наше все", которое и позиционируется, как суверенный отпор фашингтону...
для 2% реакция противоположных 86% всегда будет казаться массовой

Конечно здорово что столько ссылок привели, но думаю что их читать все равно никто не будет. То что в интернете кучи фейковых аккаунтов и ботов видно по комментариям на развлекательном портале фишек, под любым про-оппозиционными статьями - любое мнение за власть моментально минусуется. Да, мы это видим и знаем, но дальше что?

Развлекательные ресурсы, хоть и их не стоит недооценивать, фигня, ничто.
Тенденция наблюдается не (с)только там.
И если бы оно было ограничено лепрозориями типа йэхи, тоже фигня.
Но её можно наблюдать не только в куда более «серьёзных» (вопрос критериев), но и, что печальнее, объективно необходимых… движениях.

Видимо, вы не сталкивались с отечественными редакторами википедии..Ваши личные наблюдения оттуда выкинут моментально. Даже английская вики в этом плане куда демократичнее. У нас все плохо - подавляющее число редакторов либералы. Вот если какая-то газета опубликует статью, где будут эти наблюдения, а потом на неё сослаться в статье на вики, тогда ещё есть шансы.
